When to use it

Marp is a good fit
Text, lists, tables and a few images. Technical talks, proposals, lecture notes, status updates. A clean design is enough.

Use a slide editor instead
Very visual or creative decks, heavy animations, precise layout of many images. Work directly in Google Slides or PowerPoint.

Building the deck

Output Command
1 HTML marp slides.md --theme-set theme/clean.css
2 PDF marp slides.md --theme-set theme/clean.css --pdf

4 Live preview marp -s . --theme-set theme/clean.css

PDF, PowerPoint and image output need Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

Working with an AI agent

  1. The agent writes or edits slides.md
  2. It renders every slide to PNG and looks at the images
  3. It fixes text that runs into the footer or slides that are too dense
  4. You review the PDF and ask for changes in plain words
Tip: keep the theme in its own CSS file, so the agent changes content without touching the design.
